Modern racist data found at this facility. Cheree Byrd, a pregnant Black woman, repeatedly told jail staffers for days that her water had broken and she was in labor, but she was malignantly ignored and not taken to a hospital. Only after she gave birth to a stillborn child did they drive her to the hospital to have her infant pronounced dead. A modern day medical homicide that did not get people prosecuted the way it should have. Instead, Onondaga County paid $100,000 in a janky settlement.
