What is The FBA Threat Database?
The FBA Threat Database is a structured record of all locations, groups, and institutions that have historically or currently put Foundational Black Americans at heightened risk of harm. It exists to preserve history, track patterns, and help FBAs make informed decisions about where to live, work, travel, and spend.
Every entry is source-driven and/or fueled by local "boots on the ground" reporting. To check the full list of sources used for this site, click here.
About The Anti-Black List
The Anti-Black List is a record of businesses and/or institutions which may not put FBAs in danger physically, but which have had a documented history or private reports of being anti-FBA or “anti-Black.” Some listings are historic, and some are much more recent. Some are online, and others are at physical locations.
What makes The FBA Threat Database + Anti-Black List different than other Threat Tracking or Boycott listing websites?
Other Threat Tracking or Anti-Black Listing Sites
- “Allegedly” funded by special interest groups (Political-leaning groups or parties, City planners, Non-profits who hold companies hostage for donations, Intelligence agencies, etc.). Businesses or areas can “allegedly” pay to be removed from lists.
- Unverified data focused on framing a narrative. Many times, you'll notice one-sided reporting to influence people to live, travel, or spend money in different areas. In addition, very few will provide sources that you can research.
- Out-of-date information or missing context. Either the site will focus on old, outdated information or very new news stories that do not provide the full historical context of an area.
- Poorly-made maps, if any, that are hard to navigate.
- Often slow and/or disorganized.
The FBA Threat Database + Anti-Black List
- We're funded directly from the REAL Black Grassroots. Areas, interest groups, and/or businesses can't pay to be unlisted. No bribes accepted.
- Entry-by-entry verification. Many submissions come directly from the Black Grassroots. Sources are used to verify that the areas, institutions, businesses, etc belong.
- Up-to-date information with context. Modern news stories and reports are coupled with historical context (if available) that can be researched.
- Fully structured maps with various filters and options for easy navigation.
- Properly organized with laser-fast searching.
What or Who Is an FBA?
An FBA is a Foundational Black American: someone who is currently classified as Black or African American (a foolish term) and sometimes as Colored, Mulatto, or Negro on a birth certificate and/or other important document or record. FBAs are people descended from Black/Freedmen ancestors who were present at the founding of the United States. FBAs are not immigrants. FBAs are the people of The Most High who literally built the USA from the ground up. Being born or raised in the USA or raised around FBAs does not make you FBA. FBA is a lineage (not a group).
Is this website useful to Non-FBA Black People?
Yes, in fact, they would be wise to use it. Many non-FBAs do not have a longstanding history in the US, with stories spanning generations. Therefore, they lack the awareness of dangers that are sometimes lurking under their noses. FBAs have this information -- no different than how non-FBAs have key insights into their specific countries and cities about places to avoid (feel free to submit that info).
While this site is primarily for and on behalf of FBAs, those who are on-code non-FBAs are more than welcome to use this resource. The tether class, who will not heed the warnings, will have to find out the hard way.
There's a culture that FBAs have of resisting white supremacy consistently. FBAs typically stay away from suspected white supremacists and do not trust them by default. Often, but of course not always, when FBAs hear wild stories about Black people being killed by “white friends” or the infamous divestor horror stories, we are often able to tell that the Black person is non-FBA.
